Momtress is short film/pilot about a suburban mom juggling parenting and an acting career while also dealing with aging and loss. Looking for signs that things will work out is what keeps her moving forward.

Shaina Feinberg is a filmmaker from the small island of Manhattan. Her award-winning feature The Babymooners blurred the lines between documentary and fiction and examined gender stereotypes. In 2016, Refinery29 commissioned Feinberg to create a 6-part comedy series called Expecting that exceeded 1.5 million views in its first week. Feinberg has directed content for RIOT, Shatterbox and IFC’s Comedy Crib. You might have heard her high-pitched voice on This American Life, WFMU’s The Goddamn Dave Hill Show, RISK, the CBC’s Wiretap or NPR’s All Things Considered, where she played Santa’s elfin secretary two years in a row. Most recently, she was the senior producer of the hit immigration podcast Maeve in America.
