Debbie Mills is producing a three-part documentary series, as writer-director-producer. It is a memoir of her mother and friend from 1965 to the present called Finding Selma: A Story of Friendship.

For ten years she worked for Home Box Office. She began in international licensing and spent the last six years with HBO Video where she worked on the creative campaigns, including the creative marketing and DVD menus, for Sex and the City, The Sopranos and Band of Brothers. She also worked on the DVD releases of HBO documentaries, family, sports, comedy specials and films. Prior to HBO she worked in book publishing as a publicist where she specialized in books on film and television. As a freelance writer she has written movie reviews and feature articles on film and theater.
