LAURIE TOWERS is a native New Yorker, has made an indelible mark in her city over years and miles. Her status as a publicist and the founding of her New Masses Media Public Relations firm, is matched by her work as producer and host of celebrated feminist podcast airing for over 15 years “She’s Raising the Bar” (Spreaker), and the weekly WFMU radio show “Beneath the Underground”, with its XX-Centric Behavior segment of women artists. Towers' upcoming book “XX-Centric Behavior”, a celebration of women and social change, is a collaboration with photographer Elite Ziegelman.
