Anya Epstein has over 25 years experience as a Writer, Producer and Showrunner of high-end cable/streaming television. Anya was an Executive Producer/Co-Showrunner of THE AFFAIR on Showtime and worked with writer/director Derek Cianfrance on HBO’s I KNOW THIS MUCH IS TRUE. Anya started her career as a writer/producer on NBC’s HOMICIDE - LIFE ON THE STREET. She and her husband, Dan Futterman, were Executive Producer/Showrunners for the HBO series IN TREATMENT. Anya and Dan are currently developing a pilot for FX. In recent years, Anya has taught television writing at both Columbia University School of the Arts and the Geffen School of Drama at Yale University. She is strongly committed to helping younger women begin their writing careers and hopes to do more teaching in the future.
