Carolyn Pierre-Outlar
(She/Her)
Producer/WriterPierre Outlar Entertainment LLC
Physician Assistant-turned-screenwriter who sold her first pilot script to NBC in 2021.
Full Bio
Carolyn Pierre-Outlar is a producer and screenwriter whose foray into comedy was as unexpected as her life growing up in NYC. A rebel born to strict Haitian immigrant parents, her path to becoming a doctor was put on hold when she secretly joined an R&B group in the late 1990s.
Five years later, she would make them sort of proud when she became a physician assistant (still not a doctor, but close). She created the award-winning digital comedy series "Rhonda Mitchell M.D." a few years later. In 2020, the series was selected as a finalist in the Yes…and Laughter Lab competition sponsored by Comedy Central and was sold to NBC in 2021, with comedian Roy Wood Jr. serving as Executive Producer.
She's also a producer of the Not Your Momma's History YouTube docuseries, "These Roots," created by influencer and historian Cheyney McKnight. The debut episode garnered 1 million views in its first week and has over 6 million views to date since its release in 2021.
Carolyn is a proud member of the WGA and NY Wom
