Writer/Director/ActorGerman born actor/writer/director Pia Mechler has been in the film industry for almost twenty years, thrirteen in New York, where she has written and directed feature and short films centering around women's stories.
Full Bio
Born in Germany to a German father and a Polish/Chilean mother, Pia Mechler studied film at the acclaimed European Film College in Denmark. After graduation she launched her career as an actress in German, British and US film and TV. Pia moved to NYC in 2010. She wrote, directed and starred in the web series ALMOST SETTLED set in NYC. Her first feature as a director - EVERYTHING IS WONDERFUL premiered in 2017 at Thessaloniki Film Festival and was a finalist at the Chelsea Film Festival.
Acting credits include THE AMERICAN SAUSAGE STANDOFF alongside Ewen Bremner and Antony Starr and THE UPSIDE alongside Kevin Hart and Bryan Cranston. She also portrays Eleanor Bourg as part of the main cast on two seasons of the hit TV show DEVILS together with Patrick Dempsey, Alessandro Borghi, Malachi Kirby and Li Jun Li.
