Mary Beth Warner is a writer and producer, whose screenplays include narrative shorts, features, and series, all featuring characters who have been marginalized by society. Her screenplays have been recognized by the Athena Film Festival Writers Lab, The Writers Lab, Women in Film and Video’s Narrative Shorts contest, Creative World Awards, Stowe Story Lab, Brooklyn International Shorts Awards, Evolution Mallorca Film Festival, and more.

In 2023, she founded a small production company, Pennies Pictures, LLC, and produced her first short film, Pennies, which she wrote, and her daughter, Lena Streitwieser, directed. Pennies is currently on the festival circuit.

In 2024, Mary Beth and Lena teamed up on another Pennies Pictures film, Excuse Me, which is currently in post-production.

A former journalist, Mary Beth holds a master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and received a Fulbright fellowship for young American journalists in Germany.
