Toby Perl Freilich co-produced and co-directed MOYNIHAN, slated for a broadcast premiere on PBS’ American Masters series in 2024. Freilich wrote, directed, & produced INVENTING OUR LIFE: The Kibbutz Experiment, hailed as “thought-provoking” by Variety, “fascinating,” by the NY Times, & “excellent” by NPR.
Freilich co-produced & wrote SECRET LIVES: Hidden Children and Their Rescuers, for which she received an Emmy nomination for her writing; the film was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Historical Programming.
Freilich was also co-producer of the Emmy-nominated RESISTANCE: Untold Stories of Jewish Partisans, broadcast nationally on PBS.
Freilich is a contributing writer to the magazines, Tablet, Sh’ma, the Jewish Review of Books and the Forward, where she was awarded a Simon Rockower Award for Excellence in Jewish Journalism.
