Caroline Adele Ryburn
(She/Her)
Actor/Producer/Educator(retired)Caroline, a NYC-based actor/producer, focuses on women's contributions, issues, and rights in plays about Emily Dickinson, Dorothy Parker, the 19th Amendment, and is developing a web series, Irrelevant, based on the short film Now You See Us, addressing ageism and women.
Full Bio
Caroline grew up in East Tennessee, studying music and dance from the age of four. Her father was a dance teacher who operated his own school in the family home studio. After pursuing a degree in theater at Western Carolina University, she followed her passion to New York, graduating from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and beginning a professional career as an actor.
As an educator, Caroline has thirty years of teaching children and adults in public and private school programs and arts organizations in NYC including Poly Prep Country Day School, PS 261, Piper Theatre, Cobble Hill Playschool, and The National Storytelling Festival in her home state of Tennessee.
Caroline lives in Brooklyn with writer/editor husband, Nick Friedman. They are the proud parents of two wonderful and talented millennials, Dora and Julian. She is an avid biker, who enjoys traveling the world on two wheels.

- Caroline has performed extensively on stage in everything from musicals and original sketch and clown comedy to Shakespeare and the American Classics. NYC credits include the Tony Award-nominated Largely New York with Bill Irwin, Letter to the World, No Song of An Ingenue, The Merry Wives of Windsor, The Miser, The Crucible, The Glass Menagerie, and Other Desert Cities with companies at City Center, The Lambs, Abingdon Theatre, Atlantic Stage 2, and Brave New World Rep Theatre. Most recently, she was seen in the American premiere of Arthur Miller’s, The Hook. Film/TV credits include the mini-series sitcom, Life Sucks, web series, Lords of the Bowery, award-winning comedy short, Now You See Us, dramatic short, Finding Jane, psycho-thriller feature, Mouse, and 2024 release, 4th Dementia, starring Caroline Aaron.
