Full Bio
Emily Shesh is a writer and director with a penchant for dramedy and female leads. She is a graduate of Columbia University’s Film MFA program and worked in post production and production for the first five years of her career. Emily's short films have played at festivals around the world including Nantucket, Montréal World, and Santa Fe Independent. Her short film script The Sting was the winner of Sundance Collab’s Monthly Challenge.
Emily’s television work includes writing on Wu-Tang: An American Saga, as well as writing and development assistance on USA’s Queen of the South, Netflix’s Disjointed, and E! Network's Juicy Stories. Emily's first feature, Love Trip, is expected to shoot in western Ireland in 2023.
In a former life, Emily was a dancer and a music journalist. In a future life, she’s a wine-making tarot reader.
