Jennifer Deaton is a writer who has worked for fifteen years (over 20,000 union hours) evaluating material for prestige film studio Focus Features.



Born and raised in Georgia, queer in a conservative Christian family, having studied acting and creative writing at Northwestern University, Jennifer_x0019_s background gives her unique insight into a variety of audience perspectives, enabling her to create characters with depth, complexity, and compassion. Whether in episodic or feature work, Jennifer explores relevant issues colliding with the human condition, balancing drama with the humor that often results from people just being themselves.
