Ruthie Marantz is an award winning writer, filmmaker and actor, born and raised in NYC. Her autobiograpbhical award winning comedy pilot "Rainbow Ruthie" premiered at SXSW in 2019, and lead to several development deals. She was granted the Sandra Ifraimova grant from Spike Lee.

Ruthie Marantz is an award winning writer, filmmaker and actor. Her work has been screened at festivals including: BAMcinemaFEST, Seriesfest, and Seattle International Film Festival. She has her M.F.A. from NYU Graduate Film Program where she was recipient of the Leo Rosner, Maurice Kanbar, and the Academy of Arts and Sciences Scholarships. Spike Lee awarded her funding for her Autobiographical TV Pilot "RAINBOW RUTHIE " which was accepted to IFP Episodic Lab, premiered at SXSW and became Oscar Eligible in 2019. She has directed and produced commercial work for clients such as Netflix, LG, Samsung, Vice Media, and Hearst. Her latest pilot she co-wrote "SOUTHFIELD SUPERNOVAS '' was the winner of the 2020 SXSW Pitch-a-Thon. She has had developments deals with Above Average, Echo Lake Entertainment and Big Swing Productions (Kyra Sedgwick)
