Synopsis:
It is 1962, and Michael Evans, a passionate Welsh opera singer haunted by his past, fears he may be losing his voice. Michael takes refuge as the mentor of a mysterious young soprano, Gemma Bellini, and finds himself drawn urgently into the dark secrets of Gemma's life. But Michael's deepening love for his remarkable student will take an unexpected course, when he discovers that by giving Gemma her voice, she gives him an even greater gift - his life.
