Ritu started her acting career in Hyderabad, India. She worked in several documentary films and TV soaps in Mumbai and Hyderabad. She moved to New York to further purse her passion for acting. Ritu has extensive stage experience and was most recently seen in Happy Hour a play directed by Michael Horn at the Michael Chekhov Theater Company, New York. She is currently working and training at HB Studio and Terry Schriber Studio with veteran actors and directors led by Austin Pendelton, Terry Schriber and Alec Harrington. Ritu graduated from the New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts/ School for Film & Television and has also trained and worked on stage with veteran acting coach Anthony Abeson. Ritu is very excited about starring as Meena in her first feature film, The Festival of Lights. The struggles of Meena and the difficult choices she makes in her life reverberates with Ritu's real life journey from a small town in India to an unexpected and adventurous life in New York.
