Logline:

Eve, a young woman recovering from an eating disorder, returns to her quiet Jewish community, only to find her town’s new rabbi promoting a mysterious, life-changing diet drink. As the drink’s influence spreads, she must confront her own struggles and uncover the truth before it consumes her and her community.

 

Key Personnel Bios:

 

Shoshana Ehrenkranz (director) is a filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. She works as a film instructor during the summers, and during the year she works at an Egalitarian Hebrew School in Park Slope. While she was a student at NYU, Shoshana won the Sight & Sound category of the Fusion Film Festival, a women and non-binary focused film festival. After NYU, she completed a Fulbright Scholarship in Taiwan teaching English to over 200 students. Her films often center on womxn exploring their identity in religious settings.

Isabella Bahl (producer) is a New York City based producer. As a child, she fell in love with storytelling and found a creative outlet in filmmaking as a teenager. Her work has screened at the Tribeca Film Festival, the Bushwick Film Festival, and the Chelsea Film Festival. Previously, Isabella worked at Showtime in post-production and is now freelancing full time in film production.

Jonathan Mizrahi (writer/producer) is a writer, producer, and graphic designer. Born in LA, Jonathan’s passion for filmmaking was ignited in the 10th grade when his Orthodox Jewish high school inexplicably created a screenwriting course. Jonathan’s original comedy pilot was a semifinalist in Coverfly’s pilot competition, and a quarterfinalist in Final Draft’s Big Break competition. Jonathan now resides in New York City and works in development at Retrofit Films.

Peter Garajszki (director of photography) is a cinematographer with a diverse background and a passion for capturing authentic visual stories. He has lived and worked in Budapest, Berlin, Munich, London, and is now based in New York. His prior experience working as a gaffer and editor, combined with experiences living all around the world inform his unique perspective on the bigger picture of storytelling. With a deep engagement in psychology and emotional intelligence to evoke genuine emotions, Peter strives for equality, promoting diversity and inclusivity in the industry.
