Volunteer & Transportation Coordinator - Temporary Role
The Gotham
The position is for the term of August 19, 2024 to October 11, 2024. This is a full-time temporary, nonexempt role and the hourly rate will be $23 with the expected workload of 40 hours per week. Due to the temporary nature of this role additional benefits, such as health care, are not included. The candidate can work remotely or in person from our DUMBO, Brooklyn offices (or a combination thereof) during the contract period. The month of September will include a hybrid work schedule and the week of September 30th – October 4th will be mandatory in person for Gotham Week. Overtime and evening work hours may be required during Gotham Week.
Volunteer:
– Define volunteer needs for Gotham Week events, screenings, and panels, coordinated and communicated with staff
– Recruits volunteer staff to fit specific Gotham Week needs/Gotham staff support
– Gathers each volunteer skills in order to be assigned in correct division
– Organizes volunteer schedule: hours/days
– Regularly communication and overseeing of volunteers
– Develop and collect all reports on volunteers
– Serve as the primary point of contact for all volunteers including, telephone, voice and email
Transportation:
– Organize maps, shuttle service schedule for Building 303 to be available throughout the area (BNY shuttle)
– Work with the Gotham team to see if any requests are needed for exact drop off/pick up locations re deliveries etc.
– Ensure there are disability paths for any individual needing wheelchair access
General:
– Wrap report
