About Us:
Lucky 8 is a full-service unscripted production company founded in 2014 by producers and partners Kim Woodard, Greg Henry, Isaac Holub and George Kralovansky. Leveraging the combined experience of its veteran creative team, Lucky 8 has created and produced a wide range of successful series and specials, from blue-chip documentary to formatted reality, in genres spanning crime, science, food, comedy and more.
The Internship:
Do you love watching documentaries and reality TV? Are you interested in learning more about what it takes to produce and deliver a television series?
Lucky 8 TV is looking for interns to join our team this fall where they will have the opportunity to learn from industry professionals and be exposed to various aspects of television production or post production.
Interns should bring essential skills to this position: excellent communication, attention to detail, the ability to work independently on important projects, and most importantly, a strong interest in television.
Responsibilities may include:
Transcribing work
Research
Various runs for equipment
Office management assistance
Assisting across departments, and across multiple projects with a variety of production-related tasks
Opportunity to serve as a Production Assistant on shoots if needed
Supporting Post Production staff with general needs across multiple series
Learning and helping with general Assistant Editor responsibilities
Research recent programming and trends in advance of network meetings
Additional responsibilities as assigned by Lucky 8 staff
Time Commitment:
Interns will work 40 hours per week from Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship.
Requirements:
Excellent computer skills are a must, with experience working on the Web and in social media. Excellent research, written and oral communication skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are important. Needs to be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
