Film Director for Short Documentary

Symphony of the City of New York

Make a 5" documentary about the 20th century, female, Russian composer Galina Ustvolskaya. This documentary will be shown during a concert by Symphony of the City of New York that will take place this coming November.  Specifically, the documentary will be shown prior to the Symphony's performance of Ustvolskaya's Piano Concerto at that concert.

Given that most of the members of our audience will never have heard of Ustvolskaya prior to their attendance at our concert (so, of course, will never have heard any of her music before), we would like this short documentary to serve as an introduction to Ustvolskaya and her music... in a highly aesthetic, beautiful, manner.

We have applied for funding to pay the documentarist for her work on this project.  But we are listing this project as an unpaid internship, because we don't yet know if we'll receive the funding for which we've applied.
