Assistant, Global Acquisitions and Content Partnerships (New York, NY)

Responsibilities:
Departmental Support:
Diary management across team
Finance & BALA administration (Issuing invoices, payments etc) § Travel bookings
Team admin support:
Create, maintain, and update departmental working documents including:
Trackers, Decks and Presentations
Screening, reviewing and cataloguing of pitches:
To coordinate and track all new and updated pitch materials,
To review and write screening reports for incoming submissions. Elevate pitches where necessary to Acquisitions team, for broader review
Maintaining timely turnaround of reviews and feedback:
To track all submissions through the review process
Collate internal feedback Prepare review packets on appropriate submissions for relevantstakeholders
Prepare and maintain internal review updates such as newsletters, presentations, decks, etc.
Log feedback and share externally when required.
Coordinate the contract process:
Alongside team, coordinate the legal process regarding contract drafting and execution.
Track and update on status. Filter relevant rights information to share with programming teams internationally.
Document and maintain a database of rights information, backend information, payments and contract status updates.
Generate corresponding reports such as Rights Summaries, Content Lists, etc for internal partners.
Coordinate Acquisition department process and inquiries:
Assist with inquiries regarding third party acquisitions – Collate and share information with international programming teams.
Collect and track information regarding local deals from international programing teams. Maintain records for re-licences and supply information on a quarterly basis.
Ad -hoc Liaise between partners and internal operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of materials for all relevant departments.
Ad-hoc Provide programming, promotional, and performance information to partners.
Competitive analysis:
Regularly survey the competitive landscape across all platforms to help track trends and inform decisions around future acquisitions.
Basic Qualifications:
BA Degree level education preferred
1+ years’ experience in a media, acquisitions or sales role (Strong internship experience considered)
High level Proficiency in Microsoft Office suit (Specifically - Excel and PowerPoint) Abilty to produce reports, decks, and presentations on a regular basis
Knowledge of Adobe Suite is a plus

Passion for kid’s content with a keen editorial eye
Organized and detail oriented
Pro-active thinker and Self-starter, able to manage own priorities
Strong communications skills - Able to build and manage relationships with internal and external partners
Ability to problem solve independently and strategically
An understanding and interest of Global media landscape desirable

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $50,000.00 - 62,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
