Call Center Operator (New York)

What You Will Do


· The operator must handle and direct incoming calls and route them to the correct individual or department within the Agency or voicemail messaging system, if required

· Handle basic questions about the business, including but not limited to hours of operation, directions etc.

· Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs

· Help with the receptionist/front desk coverage as needed

What You Will Need

· 3+ years experience in a phone operating, telecommunications, or customer service role

· Ability to work and communicate professionally, verbally, and in written form with internal and external customers with exceptional telephone etiquette

· Demonstrated customer service and problem-solving excellence

· Self-starter; able to learn new functions quickly and accurately; anticipate departmental needs and take proactive steps to follow through with proposed solutions or alternatives

· Remain calm under pressure and work well with various personality types

· Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Strong analytical, problem solving and multitasking skills

· Ability to work independently, but in a fast-paced team environment

· Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel

· Ability to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities

· Previous experience using the phone software system Five9, but not required
