Programs Coordinator
Manhattan Neighborhood Network
The New York City Center for Media Education (CME) at Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN) is seeking a Programs Coordinator to lead Career Development and Creative Fellowship programs. This role will oversee the implementation of Editing, Motion Graphics and Animation, and Virtual Production Career Development programs along with the Audio, Documentary and Narrative Short Storytelling programs.
This role will work closely with the Manager of Media Education to develop and implement various CME programs & initiatives. This role will also coordinate with CME and other MNN departments for marketing, grant application submissions, student recruitment and tracking and supporting students after the completion of their program.
The Programs Coordinator should have a strong foundation in film & virtual production as well as educational program development. The Programs Coordinator will report to the Manager of Media Education. This is a full time weekday position with occasional evenings and weekend hours.
Job Responsibilities
• Develops a progressive and forward-thinking career training program, including curriculum and partner development
• Develops comprehensive curriculum for all professional programs including Audio Storytelling, Documentary Short Storytelling, Narrative Short Storytelling, Editing & Motion Graphics, VFX & Animation & TV & Virtual Video Production
• Develops the Manhattan Media Makers Collective (MMMC) infrastructure including selecting and managing an online platform for collective members
• Leads participant outreach and acquisition including application development and participant screening
• Manages administrative workflows for the Career Development and CME Storytellers programs
• Hosts CME Events associated with the Career Development and CME Storytellers programs as needed
• Build relationships with creative and media industry partners to create opportunities such as mentorship, job referrals and general program support
• Recruit and supervise Independent Contractors to support the programs.
• Coordinates with Manager of Media Education on staffing for Career Development and CME Storytellers programs
• Coordinates with MNN’s Marketing Department to market applications for the programs as well as sharing success stories from the programs
• Coordinates with MNN’s Development department on identifying sand submitting to grants to get support for the programs
• Coordinates with CME Media Education Coordinators on support for the MMMC including adding members to the online platform, managing platform channels, and facilitating communications with MMMC members
• Provides on-site technical support for CME Events as needed
• Teaches for the Storytelling or Career Development programs as needed
• Provides additional support to current and future CME initiatives as needed
Education and Experience
• 5+ years experience in media or related field
• 3 years experience managing career and/or workforce development programs
• Minimum 2 years teaching and curriculum development experience
• Demonstrated skills in a variety of video or film production roles
• Demonstrated skills in podcast production
• Demonstrated knowledge of new media technology skills
• Demonstrated skills in video editing and motion graphics
• Knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, and Audition)
• Knowledgeable in DaVinci Resolve platform (Trainer Certification Preferred)
• Knowledgeable in 3D design & gaming engines including Blender, Unreal Engine and Unity
• Knowledgeable in Apple Pages, Numbers, and Keynote
• Knowledgeable in Google Apps (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Sites, etc.)
• Experience with Motion Capture (OptiTrack preferred) a plus
• Experience with Virtual Production workflows (Mo-Sys StarTracker or similar systems) a plus
• Experience with additional video production and post production programs (Avid Media Composer, Nuke, Maya, Cinema 4D, Unity, Final Cut Pro X, Final Draft, MovieMagic ecosystem, etc.) a plus
• Experience with grant writing a plus
Benefits & Compensation
• Full Time non-exempt position
• Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 annually depending on experience
