Casting Assistant (New York, NY)

CASTING ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Researching actors, real people and stories
  
•  Researching locations, resources and events for scouting
  
•  Assisting during casting sessions and callbacks
  
•  Archiving data and media
  
• Communicating with talent and agencies
•  Street scouting
•  Social media
•  Scheduling auditions
• Editing and uploading audition tapes
  

QUALIFICATIONS OF AN IDEAL CANDIDATE:

•  Prior experience as a casting assistant for film and tv
  
•  Must be professional, committed and organized
  
•  Must have excellent research skills
  
•  Must have knowledge of social media, basic digital photography and video
  
•  Knowledge of actors & pop culture a plus
  
•  Knowledge of editing programs such as Adobe Premiere or Final Cut a plus
