Teaching Assistant
Reel WorksNovember 2020 - June 2021 (Part-time) Reel Works seeks a Teaching Assistant for our Reel Works After-Schools program for the 2020-2021 school year. We are looking for filmmakers who bring fresh ideas in media making and education into our Free Narrative Filmmaking Lab. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about the mission of Reel Works and will help foster our filmmaking community. Responsibilities include: Teaching Assistant will support the Filmmaking Instructor in a classroom of 10-14 students Be familiar with the curriculum and daily lesson plans Report weekly to supervisors about ongoings in classroom Facilitate conversations in the classroom Coordinating with mentors to educate and empower young filmmakers. Mentor students through the creation of their own short films Receive 15 hours of professional development training from Reel Works or outside training partners: Ramapo, PASE, DOE, etc.

We are looking for artists who bring fresh ideas in media making and education into our program offerings. Reel Works In-Schools serves middle and high school students throughout NYC. Students will learn from a combination of instruction, hands-on experiences, trips, and conversations throughout the school year. Responsibilities include: Student Teaching Artists support the lead Teaching Artists in the virtual classroom during their residency for a 10-20 week duration. During a residency, they will have an opportunity to lead several lessons and receive 15 hours of professional development training from Reel Works or outside training partners: Ramapo, PASE, DOE, etc. They will also attend development meetings at Reel Works.

2nd Assistant needed for Feature (Remote)
-Experienced 2nd Assistant Accountant needed to start soon on a studio feature shooting in New Mexico from September through December. Anticipating 8 weeks of wrap – will probably be working into February 2021. Candidate must be fluent in SmartAccounting, DPO, and CashET. Also comfortable with learning new working from home procedures and technologies such as 100% electronic vendor payments via ACH/Wire, CashET ePay, paperless A/P (Adobe Acrobat), DocuSign approvals, Google Share Drive filing, and VOIP phone system. You can be located anywhere in the US as long as you have a fast internet connection and reliable cell phone. This position will mostly be in charge of paying all show travel expenses including house rentals, hotels, rental cars, car services, and airfare (reconciling CashET airfare pcard). Some other smaller departments might be assigned to you. You must be able to work independently and manage your own workload

Fruits Of The Spirit ProductonsThis is a job for a talented entry level 3d animator! The 3d Animator will be responsible for creating original animated gifs or short videos thatcan be used in the web series. The Animator will be given scripts and be asked to first sketch out some ideas. Once approved, the intern will go ahead and create the actual animation. Once completed, the animation will then be a part of web series that will be placed live on a media platform and sent to festivals for the whole world to see!
