Sony Music Masterworks is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide essential administrative support to three senior executives handling business development and business and legal affairs for both recorded music and live. The position is based in Sony Music’s NYC headquarters, but the role is global in scope, requiring frequent contact with our colleagues in Los Angeles, the UK, Europe, Australia and Japan. This position offers a tremendous opportunity to learn, contribute and grow within a team-oriented environment. We’re looking for candidates with a passion for the entertainment business as a whole, but with particular interest in live events, theater, music, and technology. Meticulous organizational skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail are a must. WMM is seeking a Full-time Program Assistant who will report to the Senior Program Associate. The Production Assistance Program assists women filmmakers who produce and direct independent films by providing fiscal sponsorship, workshops, seminars, and various online resources. The Program Assistant will support with the fiscal sponsorship program, including administering contributions and disbursements, handling production assistance administrative inquiries, filing reports, applications, and other materials, scheduling workshops and seminars, and other duties as assigned. This position offers the opportunity to grow within a rapidly expanding program. The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of administrative experience in a non-profit setting, and a strong attention to detail is required. Workshops and other in-person events often take place after 6PM so some evenings are required. Experience with artist services and/or fiscal sponsorship administration is a plus, but not a requirement.
