Synopsis
I AM SO LUCKY follows the plight of Maddison, a 30-something broke singleton who believes nabbing a rich, handsome man will fix all of her problems. She puts in the hard work to achieve this dream by getting spritz-drunk and chanting manifestation mantras at her best friend Henry’s café, all while spying on the rich men who live in the building across the street. Maddison’s plan hits new levels of delirium when she spots an identical woman already living her dream life. The question is… Is it Maddison’s future-self showing her how to achieve the soft life of a wealthy wife? Or has Maddison just reached new stalker levels of desperate delusion?
Characters
MADDISON SMYTHE
As played by Rebecca Peña
(30s) With the ditzy confidence of Elle Woods and the delusional positivity of Emily in Paris, she’s determined to upgrade her life. HENRY BONDS
As played by Patrick Reidy
(30s) Maddison’s best friend who’s secretly in love with her. He’s the kind of person who claims he got a new job in the same city as his unrequited love just so he can stay near her.
