By Your Side is a dramatic, coming-of-age short film about an adoloscent girl that is an aspiring cam model, in hopes of following her famous mother’s footsteps.
The film will be produced in partnership with non-profit For Freedoms, with the goal of exploring sex work as a form of performance art in digital environment, and advocating for sex workers’ rights and women’s rights, both in the digital space and abroad. Other partnerships include in-kind publishing and syndication support, courtesy of our media partners, Milk’s publishing platform (milk.xyz), Dazed Digital (dazeddigital.com), and video-sharing platform Dailymotion.
Alexa Wynter is a New York – based experimental filmmaker and video artist, working in film, advertising and contemporary art. Previously, she worked for photographer and director Bon Duke at Art+Commerce, where she helped produced content for publications including Paper and W. Most recently, Wynter have worked for TANK Magazine’s creative agency Tankform, where she produced content for brands, including Hugo Boss and Lane Crawford. Her filmography includes America Online (2018), a graduate thesis film about media, morality and identity, meriting a premiere screening at Tribeca Film Center’s Video Art and Experimental Film festival in November 2018.
