New Opportunities From NYTVF, Disney, Tribeca, IFP

We’re highlighting some of the latest, most innovative competitions and programs for film, TV, digital, and writing:

For the second year in a row, the Tribeca Film Festival has launched the #6SECFILMS Competition. Choose from one of the categories — #GENRE, #DRAMA, #COMEDY, #ANIMATION — and enter as many Vines as you want by March 27, 2014.

Just for Laughs has teamed up with the New York Television Festival (NYTVF) to find new TV comedy ideas. Submit your entry by May 9, 2014, for a chance to compete at the Just for Laughs ComedyPRO Conference in Montreal.

Hey screenwriters, the Walt Disney Studios now has a development partnership focusing on diverse perspectives with the Black List. The submission period is open.

A talent showcase, RBC’s Emerging Storytellers introduces writers and writer/directors to key industry decision-makers who can help launch their films and careers. Part of IFP’s Independent Film Week Project Forum programs; apply by May 2, 2014.
