Past NYWIFT Board President Marjorie Kalins-Taylor passed away on April 28, 2021 after a long illness. Marjorie had a long and distinguished career as a producer, executive producer, and senior production executive. She was an Executive at Children’s Television Workshop (which became Sesame Workshop), where she produced educational films, television, feature films, and radio. She was the Consulting Producer on the award-winning documentary, Into the Fire, syndicated by PBS. Marjorie was the wife of the late Jack Taylor and beloved sister of Dorothy Kalins.
Marjorie was interviewed by the NYWIFT Archive Project in 2008.
Marjorie’s family have organized memorial trees to be planted in Marjorie’s honor.
