This workshop is all about pitching…whether it’s for your services, an informational session, a networking event, or pitching your film/television project. What does it really take to make a powerful pitch? How can you make virtual pitching as powerful as in-person? What are the pitfalls to avoid at all cost? How can you master the art of pitching with your own style, personality and brand?
Certified Career Coach/Talent Agent Consultant/NYWIFT member Jim Arnoff will give you the career coach’s top tips for pitching with conviction and results. Tips on how to prepare, how to read the person you’re pitching, how to engage, how to anticipate every question. If you ever wondered what it really takes to do a successful pitch, this workshop is for you…..wherever the forum!

Jim Arnoff is a Certified Life/Career Coach to the entertainment industry, women in finance and the legal profession. He also practices entertainment law. Jim provides consulting services to creatives in the entertainment industry (starting your own production company, shaping your pitch, networking, accessing industry executives, branding) drawing on his experience as a television packaging agent. He worked at the William Morris Agency as both an in-house lawyer and packaging agent. He went on to become an independent packaging agent working with production companies in non-fiction, lifestyle and documentary programming. He leads workshops for the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Writers Guild of America/East and West, New York Women in Film & Television, NYU Career Services/Alumni Relations/Tisch School of the Arts, Veterans in Media & Entertainment/East and West, Film Fatales/East and West, Ladies of Comedy Association. The Actors Fund/East and West and the NYC Bar Association. Jim is a adjunct faculty member of the School of Visual Arts (“Pitching Your Television Series to the Industry Pros”). He is a guest speaker at FIT and NYU. Jim is a member of the New York State, New York City and LeGal/LGBT Bar Associations. Jim has been leading workshops for NYWIFT for 15 years.
