New York Women in Film & Television recently celebrated the 40th anniversary of the NYWIFT Muse Awards honoring women of outstanding vision and achievement both in front of and behind the camera in film, television, and digital media. This year’s honorees included some extraordinary women: Gloria Estefan, Ann Dowd, Kasi Lemmons, Jane Rosenthal, Anjali Sud and Shoshannah Stern.

LOREEN ARBUS CHANGEMAKER AWARD
Shoshannah Stern received the 14th Annual Loreen Arbus Changemaker Award, which was created with the generous support of NYWIFT member Loreen Arbus. The award is given to an individual, organization or corporation in the entertainment industry that has helped to create and bring about significant change to benefit and aid women.
Shoshannah received her big break on the ABC television series THREAT MATRIX which was created for her after the producers saw her on THE DIVISION. She has been featured on Showtime’s WEEDS; as well as ER, COLD CASE, JERICHO and LIE TO ME.
Shoshannah is the creator of THIS CLOSE and both seasons 1 and 2 are available now on Sundance TV On Demand

From November 3rd to November 12th, comedy enthusiasts can expect an even bigger and better lineup of shows, performances, and events.
