Mommy blogs occupy a lucrative corner of the internet, where well-heeled parents parade their well-dressed families online in exchange for sponsorship dollars, free stuff and a certain kind of infamy. NYC housewife Addie wants to conquer this world and become a celebrity. So she pressures her husband to quit his job to devote himself to their family culture and the making of the videos for their blog. From being a nobody — to getting within reach of the internet fame — to dropping the ball and losing it, Addie is plucky and indomitable, a Sisyphus with a smile and hair extensions. Spoiler alert: she’s never gonna get there. But she’s never gonna stop trying.
Tricia Paoluccio produces and stars in the web series mommy blogger, which she has co-created with Eric Pfeffinger. mommy blogger has been optioned and will begin pitching to networks in 2018. Paoluccio currently has a recurring role on Homeland Season 7, and will be seen in an upcoming episode of Kevin Can Wait. Last summer, she played Doralee in the musical 9 to 5 at Sacramento Music Circus. She also continues to work on the web series – #Mother Judger with The Refinery, which has been featured on Funny or Die. Her Broadway debut came as Brittany Murphy’s understudy in the role of Catherine in the Tony Award winning revival of A View from the Bridge opposite Allison Janney and Anthony LaPaglia. Other Broadway credits include Julie Taymor’s The Green Bird and Fiddler on the Roof as Chava, opposite Alfred Molina and Harvey Fierstein. Off-Broadway highlights include originating the role of Donna in the comedy Debbie Does Dallas, Cressida in Troilus and Cressida (directed by Sir Peter Hall) with TFANA, and Carol in Edward Albee’s Lady from Dubuque (the inaugural production at the new Signature Theatre). Frequently seen (and heard) on television, Tricia is proud to say she’s played a lawyer, suspect, victim, victim’s sister and victim’s mother on Law & Order and SVU over the years. She played the role of Gloria, a folk singer who gets scammed, in the critically acclaimed film Great World of Sound and most recently recorded her first album in Nashville. She had a recurring role on the AMC/Lionsgate series Feed the Beast with David Schwimmer and was on Season 2 of The Affair and Season 4 of Orange is the New Black. Kate Phelan came up working on such films as Kids, I Shot Andy Warhol and Happiness. She gaffed a number of features including the Sundance winner Girlfight, Pieces of April and Sunshine State. In 2004 Phelan became a director of photography. She lensed the first season of Tosh.0 and the Emmy nominated web series Honesty, both for Comedy Central. She shot half-hour pilots for both MTV & VH1. Feature film Fall to Rise, a film about career and motherhood, screened at Lincoln Center’s Dance on Film series in 2015. She has most recently shot for ABC, AMAZON and TBS. She’s shot 5 features films and over 100 promos and commercials. She’s been a member of the International Cinematographers Guild for 12 years.
