Katrina Medoff (Actor/Producer) is the founder and co-director of the Women’s Weekend Film Challenge, a women-in-film initiative that creates teams of all-female casts and crews to write, shoot, and edit short films in one weekend. She is an actor, writer and producer in New York City. Molly McGaughey (Director) is a film director, producer, writer and comedian based out of NYC. Her one-woman shows and comedic performances have been recommended by The New York Times and Time Out New York and featured at the Peoples Improv Theater, and various comedy clubs in NYC. Her directing work has been featured on FunnyorDie, Backstage, Seeka TV and screened at film festivals in Manhattan, Brooklyn, London, Toronto, Austin, Los Angeles, Portland, and New Zealand. She is a member of Cinefemme and NYC Women Filmmakers. She got her start in the comedy scene by writing and performing a solo show about her recovery from a minor traumatic brain injury with a comedic twist that included standup, storytelling and original songs. She hosts a monthly comedy show called Everything is Falling Apart at QED in Astoria every fourth Thursday at 7:30pm. She is in development on her first non-fiction book I’m Fine as a selected participant of the art incubator Blast Off. Her recent directing projects include the first season of Split, a mini-series dramedy and directing sketches for the comedy series Hat Trick Bitches streaming on the independent streaming platform “Seeka TV”. Her films have won Best of Fest and Best in Acting at CTLPDX International Festival, and won Audience Choice Award of the year 3 separate times at Indieworks.
Cait Cortelyou (Writer) is an actor and sometimes-writer. On the small screen she has appeared on Steven Soderbergh’s The Knick and Bull on CBS. On stage she has performed at La MaMa E.T.C., 59E59, The New Ohio, The O’Neill, and the Bushwick Starr, as well as originating the role of Diana in Sleep No More’s rooftop garden Gallow Green. She is the creator, star, and producer of the independent feature film Ask for Jane, based on a true story about abortion access in America before Roe v. Wade. Monique Hazeur (Writer/Art Director) is a Brooklyn-based writer, filmmaker, and foodie originally from Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. In 2017, NYWIFT’s New Works Lab Showcase featured her script Black Coffee and Beignets, which she later produced and directed, and is currently in post. Her co-written web-series, She’s Such a Mom, was a semi-finalist for the 2016 Sundance/YouTube New Voices Lab.
Irina Chernikina (Editor) is a writer, director, editor and cinematographer. She completed over 30 projects since getting BA in film studies in 2006. Her experience varies from development and production to post-production, she can literally take your project from very beginning to its completion.
