Synopsis
When Depression, an African American woman in her 30s, finds herself overwhelmed by life’s challenges, her three friends—Anger, Grief, and Pain—arrive unexpectedly to help her confront her struggles. Together, they share their own stories of hardship, revealing the strength of sisterhood and the healing power of vulnerability and support.

Alysia Joy Powell was born of parents who met in an Acting Class. Her creative journey started in the Gospel industry as an artist, singing with the likes of Richard Smallwood, Yolanda Adams and GMWA and singing back up for Artists like Mary J. Blige, before managing artists. She, then, pursued her career in Acting. Having been in this industry for 20+ years with credits like the award-winning film, Judas and the Black Messiah, and as a cast member in Mysteries of Laura and Orange is the New Black, to name a few. She has been a writer and storyteller since a young age. She is, now, sharing with the world by making her Film Directing debut with 4 Women, which she wrote. This is the start of a new path surrounded by her strong team of Angela Burris, Christopher Burris (producers), Phaedra Harris (Casting), Chadwick Gobar (DP).

Chadwick Gobar was introduced to film through the Nate Parker Foundation in 2017. Since he was honed his talents as a cinematographer working on unscripted and shooting about a dozen short films across genres. He views film as an empathy machine and enjoys working on projects the play with genre’s and perspective. He also has a background working in the art department which heightened his cinematic eye. He has most recently independently produced, shot & edited a collection of films which he released on a pay what you want system online.
