MoMA Event: I hope you’ll join us at MoMA on Monday, January 22nd, where the Women’s Film Preservation Fund will show Four Experimental Films as part of the museum’s To Save and Project Festival.
Joosje Duk: We are so proud of former NYWIFT intern Joosje Duk, whose short film Night, which we screened at our Women Calling the Shots showcase in October, is now available to watch on Vimeo. It’s a must-see. Joosje has been featured in Paper Magazine and HuffPost, the latter of which posits that she “epitomizes the future of American filmmaking.”
Showing Support: Kudos to stars Rebecca Hall and Timothée Chalamet, both of whom donated their salaries from their work on Woody Allen movies to the Time’s Up Fund, and Mark Wahlberg, who also donated his reshoot fees from All the Money in the World to the fund upon learning that he earned 1,500 times more than co-star Michelle Williams for similar work. (The same agency negotiated both deals.)
