Susan Seidelman's The Hot Flashes opens at Cinema Village July 12th
NYWIFT member Susan Seidelman directed The Hot Flashes, the story of an unlikely basketball team of under-appreciated middle aged women, living in a small town Texas. They become a national media sensation when they take on the current high school girls state championship team in a charity match to raise money for breast cancer prevention. A movie by, for and about women, The Hot Flashes stars Brooke Shields, Wanda Sykes, Daryl Hannah, Virginia Madsen, Camryn, Manheim, Eric Roberts, Mark Povinelli, Charlotte Graham and Jessica Rothenberg.

The director  of  Desparately Seeking Susan in the ’80s and the pilot of Sex and the City in the ’90s, Susan Seidelman is known for her ability to capture in her films those moments in the culture when everything shifts.
