Watch the NYC broadcast premiere on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 7:00 pm on WNET, CH 13 Service: When Women Come Marching Home The documentary highlights the special challenges facing disabled female veterans as they transition from active duty to civilian life. Marcia Rock is an independent filmmaker who has produced many documentaries on women's issues, including "Salt Harvesters of Ghana" (2007) which won the best short at the Newburyport Documentary Film & "Writers' Rooms: The Making of a Mural" (2008). Her documentary on the changing role of women in Northern Ireland, "Daughters of the Troubles: Belfast Stories" (1997) won many awards including the AWRT Grand Documentary Award. She has produced several pieces on New York City and writers. McSorley's New York won an Emmy in 1987. Among other works include "Village Writers: the Bohemian Legacy" (1990), Reynolds Price: a Writer's Inheritance (1989), "Dancing with My Father" (2003), "Surrender Tango" (2006) compares the rules and roles of tango with contemporary relationships. Rock is director of News and Documentary at the NYU Arthur Carter Journalism Institute and co-author with Marlene Sanders of, Waiting for Prime Time: The Women of Television News. Her work has been featured on Public Television and cable. Her films are currently in distribution with Cinema Guild, Filmmakers Library and Create Space/Amazon. Patricia Lee Stotter is an Emmy Award winning composer and writer for television, film, theater and interactive media. Stotter composed the scores for documentary films including Unchained Memories, Discovering Women, From the Ashes, Reading from the Heart, Salt Harvesters of Ghana, Spirit to Spirit, Suicide Notes, incidental music for many plays, and many Sesame Street songs for numbers 1-20, letters A-Z and healthy fruits and vegetables.
