Help women filmmakers tell their stories
Founded in 1977, NYWIFT provides a supportive community dedicated to helping women attain the highest levels of achievement in the entertainment industry. Your support makes a big difference at NYWIFT. It helps us champion women's achievements and points of view in the industry. Thank you!
Help advance women's careers in film, television, and digital media.
Fund for Women Filmmakers
NYWIFT provides completion funding to women filmmakers.
The Fund provides financial assistance to female graduate film students at Columbia University, New York Universities, and The City College of New York, and one female graduate at the School of Visual Arts.
Women's Film Preservation Fund
Founded in 1995 by NYWIFT in conjunction with the Museum of Modern Art, the WFPF is the only program in the world dedicated to preserving the cultural legacy of women in the industry through preserving films made by women.
The Archive Project
NYWIFT’s Archive Project is a valuable archive of video interviews with women who have been, or are, working, in the film, television and digital media industries over the last 40 years. The New York Public Library of the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center will be making the NYWIFT Archive Project available in the library itself and online to scholars and the public. Your generous support will help continue this important work and prepare the existing archive for the Public Library.
Your generous support of NYWIFT in your estate or retirement plans provides us with the ability to help women for many generations to come. Those who include NYWIFT in their estate plans will be welcomed into our LightsCameraAction Society. Learn more about planned giving and NYWIFT.
