One of NYWFT's most glitzy events, Designing Women, honors renowned costume designers, makeup artists and hairstylists in film, television and digital media will take place on June 18, 2014 at the McGraw Hill Building, 1221 Avenue of the Americas at 49th Street,
Honorees for Designing Women 2014 will include costume designer Renee Ehrlich Kalfus (Annie, The Cider House Rules, What's Eating Gilbert Grape) and Evelyne Noraz (American Hustle, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Rachel Getting Married). Additional honorees will be announced soon.
At the heart of Designing Women is an awards ceremony filled with personal anecdotes from celebrities who have more deeply inhabited their roles as a result of the award winners' amazing work designing costumes, makeup and hair. Then comes a reception, where guests mingle with the designers and stars. They see first hand the captivating costumes, sketches, posters and stills, illustrating the work of the honorees.
