Lunchtime Skills Workshop: Tough Talks Made Easy ... Lose the Fear, Gain the Confidence

Never quite had the courage to initiate those difficult conversations with your collaborator, supervising producer, network executive, or editor? Not sure how to ask for the compensation you deserve, give sensitive feedback or talk about the deal?

This interactive workshop with Certified Career Coach/Television-Digital Packaging Agent Jim Arnoff will give you the insider’s take on what it takes to start that conversation, maintain the courage throughout and come out with a powerful result. It’s all about confidence, trust, authenticity and knowing that tough talks are really about creating a stronger connection. This workshop will give you specific tools to frame the conversation, choose empowering words, listen in a more empathetic way and come away with a deeper respect for each other.

Jim Arnoff is a television packaging agent who represents New York production companies that develop and sell original programming to networks. Arnoff has worked at the William Morris Agency as an in-house lawyer and packaging agent. As a certified life coach for the entertainment industry, he has led workshops for the Producers Guild of America, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, HBO, MTV Networks and the Writers Guild of America. He is also a faculty member of the School of Visual Arts and the Fashion Institute of Technology.
