NYWIFT Member Screening Series: A Cry From Within
The NYWIFT Member Screening Series provides members with the opportunity to show their work in a theatrical setting. The screenings take place at Anthology Film Archives, followed by networking at a nearby bar.A Cry from Within tells the story of a family that lives a hectic life in New York City. When their new baby is miscarried, the family decides to leave the city and find a new way of being. They rent a house owned by two women - a middle aged spinster and her domineering bed-ridden mother. The same thing that kept the two women tied to each other is the very element that begins haunting the family and spinning their lives out of control with obsession bordering on possession. (Based on actual events.)
Join us for this month's NYWIFT Screening Series feature A Cry From Within directed by member Deborah Twiss, who will be available for a Q&A immediately following the film.
