Linea de Sangre

Mountain Moving Studios, in an effort to change the industry norm, is relentlessly focused on creating and promoting strong female protagonists and antagonists.

Linea de Sangre is a film about a troubled NYC cop that goes undercover to take down a ruthless, feared and burgeoning drug syndicate in the Bronx, lead by a immensely powerful Santera, her best friend from childhood.

Mountain Moving Studios is comprised of 4 friends who graduated from Fiorello LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts and came together with a common goal: to make movies that promote strong female leads and tell stories that haven’t been told. After shooting three short films in the past year that are now making the film festival rounds, we are venturing into our first feature length film.

There are only three ages for women in Hollywood - Babe, District Attorney, and Driving Miss Daisy.???
-Goldie Hawn

This quote fascinated us, and we have found it to be true. Hollywood is not very interested in making movies with women over the age of 35. Think of all the fantastic actresses over that age that most people will never see because of this bedrock-sexist attitude that permeates the business.

As a contributor you will be helping to smash this archaic mindset and join us on the ground floor of something special.

We are shooting within a micro budget so we’re only looking to raise forty thousand dollars. That will pay for the talented production crew we have assembled, publicity, some much needed equipment, SAG rates for the actors, room and board, locations, meals and travel.
