The I Am Julia Project

DONATE NOW

"Reality TV" meets "Educational TV." School children aged 7 to 17 participate in The I Am Julia Peace Project by watching Marisol Carrere's film I am Julia…caught in the bully’s lair. The middle school and high school students will participating in a unique curriculum that allows them to explore their own bullying stories. They write scripts and create storyboards, using theater and film as a means of  addressing their frustrations and concerns as well as their aspirations for a better world. The younger children will view a lighter film and experience the work through art projects and  role playing.   Our goal is to encourage students to develop their Peace Projects and understand that by forging more harmonious bonds with one another,  together we can eradicate the culture of violence in our schools.
